Bill of Lading — Your Protection Document: The Bill of Lading (BOL) is the legal record of your vehicle's condition before and after transport. At pickup, you and the driver document all existing damage. At delivery, the same inspection confirms condition. Any damage noted at delivery that was not on the pre-transport BOL is the carrier's liability and triggers an insurance claim. Always complete a thorough inspection at both ends — do not sign an incomplete or blank BOL.

What Cargo Insurance Covers: Physical damage to your vehicle caused by transport — collision, loading/unloading accidents, weather damage (on enclosed carriers), and tie-down strap damage. It covers the vehicle itself, not contents.

Check Battery and Tires: Ensure your battery holds a full charge and all four tires are inflated to manufacturer specifications. Your vehicle must be able to drive onto and off the carrier under its own power. A dead battery at your Florida pickup location creates delays for both you and the driver.
