However, certain locations present access challenges for large multi-car haulers (typically 75–80 feet in length). Low-clearance bridges or underpasses, narrow historic district streets, residential cul-de-sacs without turnaround space, and private roads with weight limits may prevent a large hauler from completing a direct door-to-door delivery.

Be present and available: Your carrier will confirm a 2–4 hour pickup window the day before arrival. Clear your schedule for that window. If you have appointments or commitments that could conflict, arrange for a trusted representative to be present on your behalf and notify ShipMyCar US of the arrangement. A driver who arrives at the confirmed window and cannot reach anyone will log the attempted pickup and you may incur a re-dispatch fee.

Have all materials ready: Government-issued ID, vehicle registration, keys (all sets), gate codes, and your booking confirmation should be gathered the evening before pickup. Do not be searching for the second key fob when the driver is standing in your driveway.

Vehicle preparation: Remove all personal items from the interior, glove box, center console, and trunk. Reduce fuel to approximately one-quarter of the tank. Disable aftermarket alarms and retract power antennas or external accessories. Take photographs of all four sides and any existing damage — in good, even lighting — the day before pickup.

Gate communities and access-controlled delivery addresses: If your destination address is inside a gated community, provide the gate code or visitor call-box number at booking. Many carriers are denied community access because the gate information was not communicated in advance.
